I'm not sure if you'll find this interesting, but these images remind me (for some reason) of one of my favourite sculptures in the Musee D'orsay.
It's called The Human Comedy, or 'La comedie Humaine' by Ernest Christophe. Take a look at the following two pictures to get an idea of the piece;
